Delay of Elector's Rights

Published: 06 January 2021

Each year, the annual accounts are audited by the Auditor General for Wales and any interested person has the opportunity to inspect and make copies of the accounts and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts etc relating to them for 20 working days from the issue of Notice of Audit for the Exercise of Elector's Rights.

For the year ended 31 March 2020, in line with COVID-19 emergency lockdown restrictions, it is not possible to comply with the normal timescale for the exercising of elector's rights.

At the point when the Council have met to approve the accounts the external auditor will be advised and they will then issue a Notice of Audit for the Exercise of the Elector's Rights. This will be displayed in accordance with the legislation.
